  sorry the food not good - I expected better because they have a good reputation. We had the shrimp wrap for $15 and the beef dip for $13 both were sub par. The shrimp wrap looks great but was not made right or something was off ., disappointing not flavourful. The beef dip - don't even think about it ! ...no flavour and the roast beef dry and chewy - not easy to eat - the "jus" has no taste, seriously. It is a busy place and the waitresses seem on edge as well

  Four of us got food poising at Big Ds. Let to quite an unconformable ride back to Vancouver. Cute place, but not sure if the eggs were properly handled. I would avoid over easy and go scrambled...

  The food was just ok. The service from some people seemed friendly and warm but our server seemed to really lack communication skills. She told us to wait for a clean table really took her time getting to clean the table. She couldn't be bothered to say it's free. So my husband asked if we could sit... she mumbled something. She did this to another family soon after. Missed my kids order entirely which was a pancake that they brought quickly after. She argued that there was already syrup at the table which there wasn't. She came by to double check my table. Nope not the syrup. I went because the ratings seemed good but regret not just going else where. I'm not sure if this is a regular issue here but some general serving etiquette could benefit this restaurant.

  We love Chef Big D's for a Saturday morning breakfast with the family. My go to is the crab cake breakfast. We have 2 kids so we go early and miss the 9:30am rush. They keep the drip coffee coming and serve generous portions.
